Our Board Members
Dr. Dan Trementozzi
President
Dr. Trementozzi is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine, earning his degree in 1994. He completed his pediatric residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in 1997 and went on to complete his military service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas in 2001. Currently, he is part of the Mary Washington Medical Group, Ladysmith campus, where he serves the families of Caroline and surrounding areas.
In 2007, Dr. Trementozzi founded the Caroline Christian Health Center and served as the ministry's CEO and Medical Director until it closed in 2018. His leadership and dedication helped provide affordable and quality healthcare services to the underserved communities in Caroline and its neighboring areas.
Brittany S. Carper, Esq.
Vice President
Brittany Carper is the Managing Law Partner at Goodall Carper & Dillon, PLLC. She is a graduate of Mary Washington College with a double major in Business Administration and Religion. Brittany is also a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law, where her courses focused on trial advocacy.
Brittany attends Grace Church of Fredericksburg with her family and has a calling on her life to be a voice for the voiceless, focusing a large portion of her law practice on representing abused and neglected children, domestic violence victims, indigent criminal defendants, and also local Christian ministries.
She and her Husband Jeremy have been together for 22 years and they have two children, Dorothy Grace and J.W., that God has blessed them with.
Brittany has been a patient at FCHC since 2003 and she believes in the mission and the ministry of providing high- quality and affordable healthcare to those in need.
Mike Jones
Mike Jones is a valued founding board member of Fredericksburg Christian Health Center (FCHC) and played a vital role in establishing the ministry. He is the principal owner of the Tricord Companies, which consists of Tricord Homes, a homebuilding company; Tricord, Inc., a land development company; Virginia Construction Company, a site construction company; and Pendleton Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course. In addition to his business endeavors, Mr. Jones is a seminary graduate and serves as an elder at Grace Church of Fredericksburg. He and his wife, Terri, have four married children and twelve grandchildren. The FCHC community is grateful for Mr. Jones' leadership and unwavering commitment to the ministry's mission of providing high-quality and affordable healthcare to those in need.
Dr. Timothy Powell
Dr. Powell is the founder of FCHC and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Timothy Powell was the founding member of Fredericksburg Christian Health Center. His vision and leadership helped FCHC provide over 50,000 visits to uninsured patients, providing over 6 million dollars in charitable services from 2003 to 2020. We are grateful for his legacy and continued influence as a board member, guiding FCHC to be more than just a doctor's office but a ministry that facilitates healing in the entire community. He stopped working at FCHC in 2017 to pursue teaching at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, and joined the FCHC Board of Directors in 2020.
Leandro Chavarria
Secretary
Leo is an Argintine immigrant, moving to the US as a teenager. He has multiple degrees from Penn State University and is also a certified Program Management Professional (PMP) and currently serves in Program Management for the Department of Defense. Before his current position, Leo directed the Youth Ministry at a Church of over 18,000 members for 10 years, demonstrating his dedication to serving the community. Leo is currently a patient at FCHC and his wife is a Nurse Practitioner at the center, making their connection to the FCHC community even stronger.
Katherine Michael
MHS, MD, IBCLC
Katherine Michael, MHS, MD, IBCLC graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with her bachelors in molecular and cellular biology and then with her masters in reproductive and cancer biology with a certificate in maternal and child health. She attended Cooper Medical School of Rowan University for her doctorate of medicine, and she also got her IBCLC for lactation consulting while there. Katherine married her college sweetheart, who is now an EM physician in the Air Force. They have 3 daughters, born in 2018, 2020, and 2022. They have 2 dogs, a cat, 7 chickens, 2 ducks, and a fish (from FCHC)! Katherine homeschools her children, tends the garden and animals, and does non profit and volunteer work with her free time.
Gene Brown
Treasurer
Gene Brown is a VP at Atlantic Builders. He is a graduate of Germanna Community College (Business Administration) and Mary Washington College (Computer Technologies). While earning his degrees he began working at Atlantic Builders, a residential home builder in the Fredericksburg Region. He has a passion for the home building industry because of the amazing people from all walks of life that work in the industry and the people they provide homes to. He has a desire and passion to help the less fortunate, as Jesus calls us all to do. This passion has lead to joining the Board of Directors at FCHC.
We are honored to have Gene serve alongside us as he has either served or still servers on the Board of Directors for Progressive Missions, Stafford Junction, Karen Friedman Baseball Camp for a Cure, and The YMCA. Gene attends Stafford Crossing Church is a coleader of High School Bible Study a The Mount and is most happy and fulfilled visiting and serving in Uganda. He and his wife Mandy have been together for 25 years and they have two children, Jordan, and Olivia. He spends his free time with either do chores around the house, fishing, hunting, traveling, reading, or playing basketball.
Andrea Aparicio-Noyola
Katina Howard
Andrea has recently graduated from George Mason University with her Masters in Global Affairs and is the youngest on the FCHC board. She has found her passion in serving our community by helping mentor, guide, and empowering youth. For many years, she has assisted her church with their youth group and participated in developing Jesus Club at Massaponax High School.
Being on the board is so meaningful to her because she feels that the clinic is making a tangible impact on the community. She has had many challenges as a Latina woman, in getting adequate patient care, so she understands the importance of providing the community with dignified health care. Andrea is enthusiastic about being able to be an advocate for people to have access to clinics that care about whole-person care. It is her goal to help FCHC expand their outreach to the Hispanic communities.
Katina Randle Howard is blessed to be the mother of a dynamic daughter (Gabrielle) and a proud community servant who advocates for the underserved. With over two decades of experience in community outreach and social equity, she brings a unique and innovative perspective to the team. She has a diverse professional skill set in multiple industries including human services, public health, human resources, sales, and development.
Katina has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Touro University. After many years of advising, collaborating and project management, Katina took the leap of faith and founded her own community development consulting business, The Transformation Lab (TL Group, LLC). Katina has served on several boards and councils, and serves as a minister at United Faith Christian Ministry of Stafford. Katina is committed to ministering to the souls of our community, in mind, body and spirit.
